Do I need to register? No. Admission is based on the order of ticket purchases. Tickets are available at the „BIBUŁA” museum (19 Wschodnia Street) or online at bilety.muzeumpilsudski.pl.
What to expect? A walk through the artist’s hometown marking the centenary of the beginning of work on his monumental masterpiece, “The Statute of Kalisz”, dedicated to Marshal Józef Piłsudski. Our journey will begin with the exhibition “Artur Szyk and Józef Piłsudski – Dreams of the Republic of Poland”, presented at “BIBUŁA” – the Clandestine Printing House of Józef and Maria Piłsudski (19 Wschodnia Street).
Joanna Podolska holds a Ph.D. in the humanities and graduated in Polish Philology and Cultural Studies. She is a lecturer at the Institute of Contemporary Culture at the University of Łódź. From 1991 to 2011, she worked as a journalist for the Łódź edition of Gazeta Wyborcza. Between 2011 and 2024, she served as Director of the Marek Edelman Dialogue Center in Łódź.
For more than 20 years, she has been actively promoting the history and culture of Łódź, with a particular focus on the city’s multicultural heritage. She is the author and curator of numerous publications and exhibitions, including Artur Szyk: A Man of Dialogue.
